Host a Bob Ross Painting Party
If you’d like to paint at your party, you don’t need to get a ton of supplies. You can repurpose some of the materials from your Bob Ross party set. Use the small plate and napkin as your paint palettes and art inspiration. Pick up some paint, brushes and canvases and you’re good to go!
Set up for a Bob Ross painting party
Set out a paint board or canvas, a paint brush and some paint. Each guest can use the small plate to mix their paints. They can use a cup for their paint water and the small napkin as their art examples.
I picked up small paint pot sets so guests could share the paint colors. Traditionally, Bob used oils in many of his painting projects, but you can use a craft paint too. Craft paint will dry much faster and should cost less. Get a variety of colors to share or get a paint set for each guest. You could also invite guests to bring their favorite paint colors to share with the party.
You can follow along one of the many Bob Ross videos to learn how to paint all the “Happy Trees”. Set out the small napkins to show a glimpse of the beautiful art Bob can teach your guests how to create. The small napkin features 4 fun Bob Ross art scenes. The party set table cloth is a nice, thick plastic, perfect for covering your party table or painting table. The top of the table cloth is a clean white and the sides feature different Bob Ross art scenes.
If you’d like the focus of your party to be painting, I suggest setting the table for painting. You can then set up a secondary area with the rest of your plates and other party supplies along with the food. Of course, I dug out a mini Christmas tree for my set up. What’s a Bob Ross party without a real happy tree?
Tip: I also used the multi-image small napkins to make a DIY banner. It’s quick and easy! I just cut out all four squares of the napkin, attached them to a ribbon and hung up the banner with the display for rest of my place settings.
A few things I love about this party set
The whole party set comes in a sturdy plastic box. Prime Party packages the items in a strong cardboard box, wraps it with tissue and a sticker. So when the party set arrived, it was in perfect condition.
