A couple weeks ago we had a small group of friends and family come over for some Wii fun. I was invited to host an event to share the new Wii Motion Plus game and controllers with my pals. I've always had a little extra stress when it comes to hosting parties at my house and I had never hosted an event in conjunction with a PR company… but in the end it was SO much fun! We kept it low key, enjoyed the games and ate loads of ice cream… Thanks Nintendo!
The Wii controlled with Motion Plus build in a more accurate interaction and technology is built into the controller instead of an attachment purchased separately. I noticed right away that my cursor on the screen wasn't as shaky as with our original controllers. There are also new games that you can play with the Motion Plus that are a riot to play and watch! If you're not a video game player, the Wii is one exception… even my non-gaming husband will play Wii bowling and now he'll stack ice cream with the best of them.
The theme of our party was Ice Cream Fun – who doesn't love that!? One of the Wii Motion Plus games is an ice cream scoop stacking challenge so our party pack included all kinds of fixings for the an ice cream sundae bar. So yummy! We had kids of all ages and even the adults try out this Wii fun and everyone had a great time! The Ice cream stacking was my favorite because I actually made it past the first level. My 4 year old really loved the umbrella racing, she was beating the older kids left and right!
Have you ever tried the Wii Motion Plus?

My favorite thing about this entire experience hosting the Wii Motion Plus party was seeing so many people playing together. We all interacted with eachother regardless of video game experience or age. The games were fun for everyone. One of my other favorite games in the set is a “wack-a-mole” style challange, although I'm horrible at it. It was funny to see a video game version of the arcade entertainment.
Disclaimer: I received a party pack from Nintendo to host this party. All opinions are 100% my own.
