Why I walk… will YOU support me?

Written by: | Published: April 20, 2011 | Updated: June 05, 2017

Hello Neighbors, Friends and Family,

I could really use your help. This June I am walking 40 miles in Summit County, Colorado to help support the fight against breast cancer. I am walking for more than the pink ribbon, I am walking to fight against all cancer. I am walking to help raise funds, show support and in honor of some very important people in my life. I will be walking with a team (Affiliate Marketers Give Back) which includes 11 other people from around the country. We will be joining hundreds of others in this event to help fight this ugly disease.

Please join me by making a donation to help me reach my fundraising goals.

2 Years ago I walked 60 miles in Seattle. I've participated in the Denver Race for a Cure the last 2 years. I've donated a portion of the proceeds of my own “Pink Ribbon Penguins” to help support the cause.

Why I'm Walking

As many others, I've known a number of people who have fought cancer. Some have won and some have lost. Some have battled more than once. It runs in my family… my children have had teachers or friend's parents who have battled with the disease in one form or another. I want to help. For me, sharing the awareness is one step, visual support is another. I can't reach everyone and let them know I care, I can't make a difference in everyone's lives… but I feel very strongly that I need to do something.

I am not a scientist… so I can't research for a cure.

I'm not wealthy… so I can't fund research, support or other fee based items on my own.

I have a family of 5 to care for… so I can't devote all my time to help.

So I'm walking.

I ask that you join in my effort to support by donating as much as you can. Together we'll do our best and try to make a difference in at least one life.

Support Jennifer!

I appreciate your friendship, love and support!
