Summer treats are some of my favorites and any excuse to use whipped cream, I'm in! How about some patriotic strawberry treats for your July 4th celebrations? Yes please! This is a super quick dessert to make and can be changed up with your favorite fruit. I've made a patriotic USA topper decor to add to it that you can make too using your Cricut Explore!
Strawberry Treats
You need:
- buttermilk biscuits – baked and ready to eat
- Strawberries – cut into bites
- Blueberries
- Whipped cream
Instructions:
Break up the biscuit into a small bowl.
Add some whipped cream to cover the biscuit.
Top with berries.
Add a little more whipped cream.
Eat it up before anyone sees you sneaking a bite!
Make Patriotic USA Decor
You Need:
- Cricut Explore
- USA Cut design designed by Jen Goode in Cricut Design Space (image #m4e6605)
- Blue and white cardstock
- Black Cricut pen
Instructions:
Set to the size you'd like, follow onscreen instructions to cut. Layer and glue together with a little toothpick. The design comes with 3 different paper layers, I just used 2 in this example. There is a 3rd layer that, if you cut in red, can be assembled between the white and blue. Mix and match the layers however you'd like and have fun with it!
There is also a set of stars that coordinate with this little USA image that I think you'll love. (image #m4e65e4)
There are so many more decor ideas you can create with this little USA cut file. Here's a few ideas off the top of my head:
- Patriotic garland
- Accents for party invites
- Decorate to glow stick wands
- Use printable vinyl and decorate all the things!
What fun ideas do you have for decorating with your Cricut?
