Mothers Word Art – DIY Wall Art Gift
One of the coolest things about this project is the double pen art. Instead of just using a standard black pen, I added a second layer of ink with the glitter gel pen.
If you create a drawn design in Cricut Design Space, you can repeat the art creation – without removing your mat – with a second pen to get a fun multi-ink art piece. Play with the Cricut Pens and see what other fun things you can do with your drawn art projects!
Materials
- Cricut machine and Cricut Design Space
- Mother's Day Word Art by Jen Goode
- Pink cardstock
- White textured background paper (optional)
- Gold glitter gel pen – Cricut brand
- Black fine point Cricut pen
- Glue
Instructions
- Goto the preset Cricut Design Space canvas I've set up for you. Follow the onscreen instructions to create the word art design.
- Glue word art to the background paper
- Frame or display however you'd like.
I used a rustic, wood clipboard to display my version of this word art. I like being able to swatch art out and display different designs from time to time. Plus, using a clipboard allows the art you want to display to come in a variety of sizes rather than standard dimensions.
