A while back I shared a few different leaf coloring pages and printables that you can use to make your own crafts.Plus, I've written a tutorial to make a fall leaf bunting with some pre-colored leaf printables.
Leaf Coloring Pages
I like to color these pages with water-colored pencils and then blend with my Tombow blending marker. I have a little video to demonstrate how I do this… it's really easy!
To create a color blend with colored pencils:
- Start with a light color and then layer dark colors as you go. If you color in the same direction you can get a more natural color blend.
- If you color in different directions you can get a more rough, textured blend.
If you don't want to color with traditional colored pencils, markers or crayons… how about coloring with watercolor paints? Check out this short video demonstrating how to use watercolors to color this printable leaf coloring page.
Look at this image below. I layered a whole array of colors. I started with yellow, then added orange, red and green. I printed the leaf coloring page on a textured paper so I would get more texture in my coloring.

I also like the textured paper for watercolor pencil and blending markers. I think the extra paper texture helps hold on to the color better when you are using wet coloring materials. This would be a great paper to use with watercolor paints too.
Think of all the fun things you can make with these colors. Color them however you'd like, cut them out and even add glitter accents. (Always glitter, right?) – There are a few little acorns in this printable too. Color them, cut them and then craft with them!
