Time to get patriotic and get ready to celebrate! I'm joining up with more creative bloggers today to share a huge pile of fun Patriotic project ideas you can create! Today I have a fun coloring page and craft activity to share with you. Download and print out the free patriotic Stars and Stripes coloring craft page below and then you can create all kinds of fun celebration decor.
I used the printable to create this Mini American flag and star wand. We can't always use sparklers here in Colorado. Some years all fireworks have been banned due to super dry weather and a fire ban. So, when you can't have real sparkle, make your own! Glitter is a great second choice I think!
DIY American Flag and Paper Sparkler Wands
Instructions:
Use glitter glue and your favorite markers or crayons to color and decorate the page. Then cut out the pieces, tape or glue them to a wooden dowel (or straws work too) and then decorate the stick with sparkly chenille stems (pipe cleaners) and curly ribbon. You can make all kinds of cute wands the kids can play with for your Red, White and Blue celebrations! This is also a fun activity you can put together for the kids to make themselves.
You can do so many different things with this free patriotic printable! Make a bunch of flags to create your own American Flag garland or decorate the stars and use them as cupcake toppers. Have the kids help color while you bake and you'll have a family activity everyone will love!
