Decorate your own Valentine's wreath using pretty paper cuts you create with your Cricut. This Valentine's Cricut Project features a fancy heart SVG file I designed along with a cute I Love You gift tag. Repurpose paper crafts and other Valentine embellishments to make your own holiday decor, quick and easy! I used print-then-cut art, but you can use your favorite colored papers too.
DIY Valentine's Wreath
I like to repurpose the same wreath for multiple holidays. So this Valentine's Day wreath is a re-do of a Fall wreath I made a few months ago. I removed the fall colors and floral accents and replaced them with pretty cut hearts and messages. Check out the other wreath for a full how-to, or start with your favorite wreath base.
Materials
- Cricut machine
- Cricut Design Space
- Fancy heart SVG cut file by Jen Goode – download here
- Wreath
- Ribbons, twine and yarn or fabric scraps
- Glue
Instructions
- Wrap the wreath in a variety of ribbon, twine and other fabric scraps. For this example I used a piece of fleece that I cut into strips and then wrapped around the wreath. You can also use paint and glitter to decorate your base.
- Upload the heart SVG to Cricut Design Space and layout the pieces to create the designs you want. I added text also, but you can leave that off if you'd like. Make hearts in different sizes and colors to create this fun decor piece.
- Glue the hearts in places, add extra ribbons and finish it off with a cute Valentine gift tag.
Tip: before you start gluing everything in place, lay everything out how you'd like it and make sure it looks like you envisioned. It's much easier to move things around without a bunch of glue in the way.
