Pink Ribbon Charms
Sometimes the art I create is purely to express love and support for something close to my heart.
The pink ribbon is one of those pieces.
In my family, we hold the pink ribbon and everything it represents, very dear to our hearts. For us, it represents all kinds of cancer and the love and support for those it touches.
As a family, we've walked together almost every year in honor family members, others who are special to us, those fighting, those who we've lost and those who have survived the battle.
Both my sister and my son have tattoos representing their support – yep, tattoos! I walked with friends in a 60 mile Komen event in Seattle and I walked in the 40 mile Avon event here in Summit County Colorado.
I've created pink ribbon art for years (my Pink Ribbon Penguins have been roaming the web since 2007-ish!), so naturally, making a project featuring a cutting file with my Cricut is the next project on my pink ribbon must-do list.

Make Your Own Pink Ribbon Charms
Make your own pink ribbon charms using pink cardstock, Mod Podge and your Cricut Explore. You can put your charms on pre-made jewelry pieces or make your own. I created these simple jewelry accessories using basic findings and chains.
Materials you need:
- Cricut Machine
- Pink Ribbon Collection image designed by Jen Goode
- Pink Cardstock
- Mod Podge
- Small paint brush
- Parchment paper (to protect your work surface)

How to make your own Pink Ribbon charms using your Cricut machine
- Open up Cricut Design space to the Pink Ribbon Charm Make-it-Now project.
- Following cutting instructions as directed on screen. You will need 6 mini ribbons for each charm.
- Once the ribbon shapes are cut, remove the cut shapes and layer them with Mod Podge. Allow to dry thoroughly.
- Once everything dries, the charms will be pretty stiff. You can seal them with a paint sealer, or I used a pretty glitter nail polish to add a protective layer and add sparkle.
- Add your finished pink ribbon charms to whatever jewelry you like. I used jump ribbons to attach the ribbons to a necklace, bracelet and a pair of earrings.

Hi Anne,
I’m so sorry you are having some trouble. Are you talking about clicking the link to access the Design Space project for this Pink Ribbon? The cutting file does include 4 words that I didn’t use in this project but are available for you to use. There is a little ribbon shape in that same file. However, are you checking out the link on an ipad/mobile device or a computer? On a non-traditional computer, sometimes you can access the Design Space project, but nothing will happen.
