Looking for fun places to travel to relax and enjoy some time away from the office? If you're like me, you spend months looking for just the right place with just the right combination of fun and relaxation. I went to Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort Villages & Spa last fall and absolutely had a blast! It's an all inclusive resort that absolutely stands above the rest.
10 Reasons to Love Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort Villages & Spa
I went with my husband and enjoyed 4 days of exploring the sights and flavors all around the resort. It's got the perfect combination of family fun, luxury and relaxing all bundled in an all inclusive package you will love and never forget!
10 Reasons to Love Beaches Turks & Caicos Resort Villages & Spa
I was able to go to Beaches Turks and Caicos as an attendee of the 2nd annual Beaches Social Media on the Sand event. I met tons of new people, enjoyed learning sessions outside in the beach air and learned so much about the Beaches Foundation and all the fabulous sponsoring companies that also attended this event. I'll tell you more about this conference later. First I want to tell you about this amazing resort!
What to Pack – before we get started, let's pack those bags!
Packing for the beach is pretty simple. Swimsuit, cover-up, sunscreen and something dry. But I'm a big fan of carryon only, especially for international travel. So here's a quick video to give you an idea of what to pack and how to fit it into a carryon. Happy planning!
Warning, this post is LONG. There are a ton of pictures and I only share maybe 1/10 of the pictures I took. So, for convenience of better page load, I've broken this article into a couple of pages… stick with it and you'll want to book a trip today!
1. Gorgeous Beaches
I'm a Colorado girl, so the beach is the last place I get to see on any kind of regular basis. The beach at the Beaches resort is clean, not a bit crowded and gorgeous! There are lounge chairs with umbrellas set up and waiting for you to just sit down and relax. When people describe Caribbean waters as blue, they're aren't exaggerating. This is the prettiest blue you'll ever see… every single day! One of the evenings we made a stop by a buffet, grabbed a pile of chips and salsa plus a couple drinks and just hung out on the beach and watched the sun go down.
My first day here, I went to some business meetings while my husband hung out alone. When I went looking for him… I found him floating just off shore with an umbrella drink in his hand. It was fantastic to see him relax!
2. Great Activities
Beaches in Turks and Caicos has some of the best organized activities I've ever seen at a resort. Whether you are vacationing as a couple, a small family or a big group you'll be happy and entertained during your entire stay. There are a number of activities planned throughout the resort and along the beach. Pick from night life to lounging in the sand and you'll find something to do. Every member of the family will find favorite activities. We attended a family buffet styled dinner including a dance party with the Sesame gang.
3. Places to Explore, Play and Relax
From the underwater creatures to the beautiful architecture, there are so many places to see and explore around the Beaches in Turks and Caicos. You'll find perfectly placed points of interest like playgrounds, benches by beautiful flower beds and even giant chess boards with pieces you can really move and play with.
We enjoyed hours of walking from village to village, in and out of shops and trying different foods. One of my favorite spots is the little all night diner… because they have a counter with a tray of fresh cookies you can just walk in and grab. I think I ate about 30 cookies all by myself!
