How to Make Patriotic Painted Rocks

Materials

Rocks – washed and dried
Craft paint in red, white and blue
Paint brushes in various sizes
Fine point permanent black marker or pen (optional)

Instructions

Use a larger brush to completely cover your rock with a single color of paint. I like to paint one side of the rock, let it dry and then paint the other side. You can also paint just a single side.
Use a small paint brush to add designs in other colors. Use a small brush to create small circle/dots and patterns. You can also use the small brush to write on the rocks. If the writing is too small, you might want to accent it with your black pen so you can read the words.
Allow all the paint to dry thoroughly. You can use a heat gun or hair dryer to speed up the drying process.
Use the black pen to draw accents on your rocks.
Add glitter or other embellishments if you'd like.
